I'm sooooooo excited! Everyone vote me a 10 please! I think this may be my best scoring photo so far. High 6 maybe? I might have to stay up for this one. I hope to get top 25.

Seriously, just keep in mind this challenge will be jammed full of excellent, excellent images, many of them very dramatic. While a mid-to-high 6 score is definitely reachable, it might translate into barely a top-50; it's happened to me...

I know... as much as I like my image... I look at the free studies from the past... and think maybe just aim for my socre goals and hopefully some comments and favorites. Good luck to me...

Luckly we don't get to see the other entries before hand. I probably wouldn't bother entering either after I see what others have entered so I try and imagine that everyone screwed up this month and entered crap. :P

I just looked - I've entered one Free Study before and it was the "more comments made than received one" so it only had 200 or so entries. I'd love to meet or beat my score from that one, but with nearly 600 this time 'round, I think I'd be positively delighted to just score my average.
Think I'll go turn off scores now so I don't forget... |

Hmm, if this gets to over 600 entries it will be the third time I have entered such a challenge.
Duotones II - 608 entries, finished 32nd place.
Best of 2005 - 829 entries, finished 533rd place.
Hopefully, I won't repeat that Best of 2005 crap performance. :P

I don't usually do well in Free Studies. The exception was best of 2005 which was my 2nd best score ever. Of course it's mostly been downhill since then. Hope I've got this one right.
