During the "Where in the World is Stdavidson" challenge a couple of comments refered to cropping. In particular to remove a jet contrail in the upper left. Even Steve Davidson himself had that suggestion! So, Here are the original and the cropped version. The original finished with a score of 5.516. Would the cropped version have done better?

I think removing the jet trail would have helped - but also if you straightened the horizon as it appears to tilt up towards the right.

The crop adds to the picture, but the centering of the dingy doesn't work for me her. It takes away the "insignificant-ness" of the dingy. I'd still keep it on the 1/3 line, moving the crop to the left.

As one of those making such a comment, I should have clarified that I meant cloning, not cropping it out. I think the longer view is more effective in the context of the challenge.
