The last three times I've blown off work have gone like this:

1st time - went to Wolf and bought 10-22 and 105mm macro

2nd time - went and bought 70-200 F4L

Today - went in to buy 85mm 1.2 but walked out with a 30D w/extra battery lol

Being 'sick' is getting expensive! Love the upgrade though. Feels better in my hands than the Rebel XT and has a couple nice features I've been wanting to have. Ahhhh. Addiction satiated for a few weeks more.

You sure get out a lot when you're sick!

good job. aubmit to those acts of outrageously expensive purchases on a whim. They are fun : )

I'm feeling a bit queezy myself. ;-)

*thinking a fisheye lens would be fun*

At least you'll have something worth selling to pay bills when you're fired for missing too much work. :P

Well, I have a plan. She is/was always saying I hog the camera. So now she has the Rebel all to herself. Nice guy that I am, I'll even throw in the kit lense I never use and the smaller bag I bought before the addiction got really bad. Plus the extra batter and wireless remote only work with that body, so it's quite the package.

So there's that. Plus I used part of a bonus to buy this new one, so that should mitigate some of the heat.

If all that fails and I seem to stop posting, you'll know what happened...

Always a good idea to have an extra batter when it comes to photography :-)

Well, I do call in sick, end up getting in late, leave early because I am feeling "queasy" and it is usually because I need to go on a photo shoot, like right then. Maybe I'll get over it one day, but I hope not. I like being a gypsy.

I've got to stop going to work - I buy all of my camera gear on the web while I'm at work. At least if I have a sick day I'll probably go out in the afternoon ant take some photos. Now I'm going to browse B&H...

Maybe your employer would share this view if he knew just "how sick" you really are.

So much comp time for nights and weekends it doesn't bother them at all. Plus having a job where you can run everything from anywhere so long as you have a net connection makes physical location pretty irrelevant.

Hummmmmm.... Wonder if that counts as a long-term disability? :-) Wonder if I could get a few months on full pay to try and get over the sickness? :-))
