Cops Eating Doughnuts: Take you best photo of this stereotypical situation. Be creative, but don't get arrested!

| I bet if you go up and ask them first, they'll agree to a picture. I've met some really nice cops around here. |

This guy finished directing traffic while I ws still at the corner, so I crossed over & spoke with him. Got his email address & sent him a few shots. He wrote back & was quite pleased. :-)
Another cop in action (making this pedestrian a little miffed).

How about a companion challenge- "Cops beating photographers" or "Cops detaining photographers"

This guy wasn't eating doughnuts, but he sure was chimping! They were taken at an outdoor concert I went to last week. I took so many pictures of the policeman that the guy behind me finally told me to stop because I was blocking his view of the concert. I felt kind of embarrassed after that. Here's the result anyway:

cool idea but maybe it would be better as just "Stereotypes" Photograph a stereotypical situation. Of course this will be a little difficult with the differences in cultures and such but still sounds fun.

| How about just "Take a picture of a law enforcement officer"? Every region has different uniforms, etc., it might be very interesting... |

Stereotypes is to broad...
Specifically, cops eating doughnuts!
See, there has been quite a few posts about photographers being harrased by the police. Also, if you kindly ask an officer of the law to pose for a photo, it helps the photographer break through the shyness of approaching subjects for photos. I worked for a newspaper for 3+ years, and I was SUPER shy when I first started, but I had to overcome my fears in order to get the shot I needed. What greater way to break the nervousness that is felt than by asking an armed officer to pose for a completly stereotypical photo of them eating doughnuts?
I think it's funny personally, and I'm willing to bet that alot of cops will feel the same way.
