Hi all. I'm in my senior year in electrical engineering and am in Senior Design. As it suggests, we have to design a project with many electrical components within the year. Our project is a kind of rhythm coach/drum practice pad. The product, when prototyped, will sroll music on an LCD screen, blink a single LED as a metronome (for those who don't know what a metronome is it just keeps a steady beat at a set beats per minute), two other LED's that will blink on the left or right side of the pad according to which stick (left or right) should be used at the correct time in the musical pattern. Now....onto the point.....I need a single graphic that will represent what our product does(help beginning drummers learn to read music through use of the music scrolling across the LCD and through the visual stimulation of the LED's)....use of images such as an LED, LCD screen, and drum music on a musical staff would be the main components but I am not very creative so I am having trouble getting something that looks right. Could someone help me?? Thanks in advance.

Could you post an example of what it is you are looking for? Maybe something you tried and are not happy with. Just to give us an idea of what kind of work needs to be done.

how big are you planning to make this thing?

Sorry, I've been away from the computer for a good part of the day. But I will post a link of something I had put together but I'm really not happy with it at all. Our first draft is due tomorrow but the image can and probably will need to be changed quite a bit for our final draft.

Ok, here's the image I have so far. It probably needs to be about 640x640 or less and any text in the image needs to be readable. We have to incorporate this image into a flyer-type deal with a list of features, specs, and short description of our product so the image probably doesn't need to take up more than 1/4th of a page (standard 8x11"). Thanks again!

Thanks! That looks a lot better than what I had! I don't think it's quite what I'm looking for but definately on the right track! What our professor is looking for is an image he can look at and understand what our project is without having to read anything. One thing I noticed is you have 4 LED's all the same color....if it's not too much trouble could you put one LED in the top center and make it a different color and make the other two LED's on the side in the middle the same color as each other.

Maybe a product description would help out...it's an electronic practice pad that will scroll percussion music across an LCD screen. An LED on the top center will act as a metronome and two LED's on the side will flash according to which stick (left or right) should be used to strike the practice pad. At the end the trainer will display an accuracy score. Purpose: help beginner drummers learn to read music faster by scrolling the music while flashing LED's according to how the music should be played.

Again, I really appreciate the help! I am not creative at all, i'm more of a technical thinker. I will pass this image along to my group members to see what they think, but it is a HUGE improvement over what we had. I'll also see what else I can add to it or change to see if I can get what I'm looking for.

Awesome! Thanks! I didn't want the text on it unless necessary. I may add a little more or tweak it a little but this definately helps out! Thanks a bunch!! If you ever need me to engineer something let me know, lol.
