I have to say, this is alien eating as far as I'm concerned, LOL. If I don't have the time, the energy, or the ingredients for something exceptional, I make a sandwich or an omelet. The omelet is a good way to get rid of leftovers, actually; but your leftovers may not be like my leftovers :-)

Not really a meal but I love buttered noodles with Wortershire Sauce.

Putting mayonaisse on macaroni and cheese is tasty, too!

Boneless chicken breast, a can of cream of mushroom soup, some lunchmeat (ham & whatever kind of cheese you like). Brown chicken on both sides. Dump in soup & 1/2 can milk. Lay a slice of ham on top of each breast, cover and simmer till chicken is done. Lay a slice of cheese on top of each, cover and simmer till melted. Open face Chicken Cordon Blue on a budget!

Here's my suggestion:

Get some meat. Kill it yourself if you have to, but prolly better to go to the market. Squirrels from the backyard can be tasty in a pinch.

Make fire. Preferably outside in a grill or similar device, but you can use a regular campfire too. The fireplace will work too, should you have to to go indoors to cook as long as you remember to open the flue.

Spear meat on a stick. Make sure it doesn't have paint or lacquer on it as that will make your meat taste like paint or lacquer. Metal is best, since it won't burn (unless your fire is really really hot) Wood works too, but since wood is flammable, your stick can catch on fire, burn through and drop your dinner into the fire.

Cook meat by holding the end of your stick without meat and positioning the end with the meat in the flames. Watch carefully, this is when you are actually cooking.

When the meat is sufficiently cooked, or you are so hungry that you just can't wait any longer, eat the meat. You do not need utensils or a plate, just gnaw that meat from the stick and dispose of the whole mess when you are full.

Repeat as necessary to stave off hunger.

May I suggest to you, and all others, that granulated garlic is FAR superior to garlic powder? I don't even keep the powder in my kitchen anymore...

But is it ever better than actual garlic? I mean I've never used the powder or the granules, but is there ever a reason to use it instead of a fresh bulb of garlic? I know chilli powder sometimes works better than fresh chilli's but are these granules a specialised form or just an easy substitute?

Just curious.
