Jobo Giga View 60gb

I have the above item. I have had it for 10 months. I have not used it once!!! After doing 3 weddings last year, I felt I had a need for it as I kept having to load pictures onto my laptop during the receptions. I can see a need in the future (possibly when we move back to the states, but it sucks to have such an expensive item just sitting there.

I shoot Raw and have 4 gigs of memory on me at all times which is plenty. It is the weddings that I burn through cards on!

When in doubt, eBay it out.

LOL, that is what I was thinking. Adorama buys used equipment, so I requested a quote.

I STILL haven't bought the point & shoot (for my purse) I have been wanting...and this would fund it. LOL

I have to say I agree with gooc about not selling it - unless you're desperate for funds. Hubby bought me a portable storage device and I wouldn't be without it. I generally use a 4Gb card and shoot in RAW and although I usually download after each shoot I sometimes am just too tired and forget. Having that storage is a boon and a life saver. Also all three of us, myself, hubby and my son, have digital cameras and my son takes more photos than I do sometimes and generally fills his 1Gb card fairly quickly. Even if you don't need it now you wont get what you paid for it and when you do need one it will possibly cost you more.

I say sell it now if you're not using it. With the way technology is today, by the time you do actually need one, rather when you think you'll need one, you'll be able to get a bigger storage space for less money.

I say sell it.

I have a 40GB Vosonic drive that all reads card cards. I use it as I only have 256MB. I also use it as an MP3 player and a USB drive to backup my photos on to.

Though since you're not using it, sell it.

I doubt that Adorama, or any other retailer, will give you as much for it as you can get on ebay. I've had them quote several pieces of gear and I've always put them on ebay and gotten significantly more.

It seems to be pretty well back ordered most place; you might be able to get a pretty good price for it on e-bay. It's not gonna be worth as much in a year as it is now; free your cash up, get something else in the future if you feel the need again.

I think you guys make a good point. Those things will be much cheaper down the road. We won't be back in the States until the end of 2008 and I really don't plan on shooting weddings here in Guam.
