Staci is back... I had a chance to work with her again last night. Which of these do you like the most?

Most (all but one) of these are unedited, straight from the raw converter images with just resizing and a frame added to them.
Any and all C&C welcome. Thanks!

I think I like the very first one the best and then the first four of the last row.

Left you a comment. I like the bottom series of shots the most. Some of her poses in the pink dress just seemed a little awkward. But that's a wonderful location you found. Wish I had someplace like that to shoot. You utilized the light very well. |

I'm rather fond of the last series of photos myself.
For the first of the shoot, we were going to shoot on rocks and I had asked her to wear something that "contradicts" the harshness of the rocks. I thought the light dress she had was a good idea and, although it didn't bother me during the shoot, upon seeing the images on the computer I felt that the pink dress against the red colored rock just didn't work so well.
We didn't have much time to shoot the western looking vest she brought because the sun was going down and I wanted to get over to the beach area before we lost the sunset. So I only got a few of those shots.
But those final shots, with the off-camera flash, turned out gorgeous. I don't care much for how her top fit her, but I loved the color. I thought it worked really well for the sunset shots.

I quite like the last series as well. Very nice work with the off-camera flash and a lovely background for the shoot.
How do you do the frames to get the camera data? Is that automated? |

Yes, I'm using a script plus a PhotoShop action which runs the script. Together, all I do is point PhotoShop at a directory full of images and say go and it processes all of them (down sizing, adding the frame and saving them to a new directory).
The script is called Mike's Framer Script. (creative name, huh?) You can read more about it here:

Thanks for the info! I'll look that up. Seems handy - especially for portfolio pics here since it would provide the camera setting information. |

Yeah, I hate having to enter the EXIF data after uploading the pictures. Especially when I upload a batch of photos as in this set. Just too much trouble. This way it's a no-brainer. :-)

Nice photos yet again. I have the same comment I left on the last ones basically. Your photos are great, but as a model she is much better suited to full body shots from a bit of a distance than close-ups of the face. |
