you see the name Penny Lane next to a thread? Because I'm starting to feel like it's a waste of time posting at all. I have read many times that if you want to recieve comments then you have to ask for them. I have posted 9 photos in two threads in the last two days, I got one comment( thanks for that by the way Suemack), on the first thread and wonderful Sherpet gave me 3 comments on photos from the second thread. If I reply to something in an exsisting thread my comments usualy get no response. I know many others have complained of the same feelings of being ignored and they are usually told to become more active in the forums. How exactly are you suposed to do that when any attempt to join in is usualy(not always) ignored? It's not just comments on photos I'm talking about. Sorry for the whinge, just feeling a bit down I guess. Chances are no-one will read this anyway LOL.

Sarah. I used to beat myself up over why I was being ignored. And I still get that way. But you know what....I wasn't being ignored.
You live in Australia. Everybody on this site lives in a different time zone. I have noticed there are particular times of the day that are very quiet.
And your two latest threads have occured during that time slot.
You see many threads get bumped...specifically so they get seen by people in other time zones.
Try bumping your thread...and remember...you aren't being ignored. Heck...when I see your name I know who you are. You are not a stranger...so please don't think you are.
Chinabun...the same goes for you. You aren't being ignored...just take note of the quiet times on this site and work around it.

I was going to suggest the the thread bump as well, but I was busy commenting on a few photos, and Judi beat me to it! :)

Thanks for replying Chinabun and judi!LOL
I feel a little immature posting this now. I was just feeling really frustrated and needed to have a dummy spit.
By the way, you've got some great shots in your portfolio Chinabun! |

I was going to say that I think of Newcastle, New South Wales, where There's a Place called Jesmond (in Newcastle, England, too, I presume). Yes, Penny Lane reminds me of The Beatles, and they wrote another song which mentioned the barrow in the marketplace in Jesmond. Obla-Di Obla-da.................... |

Well, WA's state bird, but native to Australia. I've seen them in Japan and Moscow, as well. |
