I just purchased a new LCD monitor and had a look at some of my previous submissions. The difference is amazing!

Where I thought there was a uniform black background for example, is lots of noise and nastiness. At least it's in time for me to redo my Free Study entry.

I got a Phillips 170B6.

I kept getting comments about "many annoying dust specks" in my Straight entry and "blue/white specks in my Peas entry. Before now I never saw them while editing and now I see the issue. I had used Adobe Gamma.

Maybe it's not as bad as I made out to start with but it is a huge difference.

Hmmm, maybe I need to tweak this one a bit then. It's showing me more "noise" than you guys are seeing.

One extreme to the other perhaps :)

Hmmm.... having edited my last half a dozen challenge entries on a laptop, I feel your pain. It really is a hit or miss affair at times!

Your entries look fine on my CRT.

You may want to spend another $89 and get a Pantone Huey calibrator. It's awesome.

I keep my monitor calibrated, and my wife's LCD uncalibrated. That way, I can look at hers and see how my submissions will look for anyone else with an uncalibrated monitor.

What? Can't a guy plink down $1500 for camera gear and possibly buy a $200 to $350 LCD Flat panel at nearly the same time?

Nuzzer,

Your stuff looks fine on my LCD.

I think your problem is how your saving for the website. Your photo of Peas is just pixelated, which leads me to believe it's just a resizing problem.
How are you saving this to send to this site?
