For those who love airplanes this is a place to be. Not sure what day I'm going to be there. If there is enough interest I can set up a small GTG.

They came to Atlanta last week and I didn't know it till last minute. Really sux cause I would have loved to have gone.

Very cool. I have not seen it before.
Let's see if more people will respond and maybe we'll do a small GTG there. It's more fun that shooting alone.

Actually my last two contest entries were from an air show. And my Girlfrind got one also. This is a local airpot about 5 minutes from my house, so I go twice a year. No blue angels, or anything like that. But they do have some awesome old WW2 airplanes, and really interesting people.
Its really fun going...I love it.

That is just a few!!! I took LOTS today, and will try to take
Lots in the AM and Lots on Sat and even more on sunday!!!!
KEEP IT ON THE DOWN LOW, a little birdie told me that there will be
a possibily of a sneak F-14 display on sunday!!! I do not have
any clue on how likley this is because I do not know the source,
but he is a big wig on the inside! Like I said, I really do
not know if he was trying to blowing it out his tailpipe.
(He did know exactly what he was talking about during the entire
1 hour chat, and if you know anything about airshows, most people talk
but do not know the difference between a sidewinder or sparrow)

wow.. cool stuff. I'll be there tomorrow(Sunday). I even rented 80-400mm lens.

Wow that was great. This is the best show on earth. 5hrs in direct sunlight is not easy but I managed, even without sunburns (I think).
Came home with almost 400 shots. Time to start post processing.... agh.. maybe later.

I've spent a considerable amount of time converting all these images to text links.
Notice to all users: Please DO NOT post large images, especially when you are posting more than one or two. Here there are dozens of large images bogging down the loading of this thread! I know its inconvenient, and not everyone will click on a link, but we must keep the site moving smoothly! thanks!

I used Photostory 3
Sorry Frisca.... I sometimes rock the boat... I have never been thrown off yet. Will behave in the future.
Thank you all for the nice comments. It seems that my video is spreading like wildfire and I have had over 30,000 hits in an afternoon...and it is still picking up instead of slowing down!

I did some quick processing in Picasa just to get photos up. In next week I'll do some quality work on selective images and post them again.

Not bad shots, although your white balance seems way off. The images all have a pretty strong blue cast. |

these were 2 shots I got when they did their practice run a few days before. I was able to snap these off from my backyard!

Sorry to resurrect/hijack this older thread, but I had to share a video I just saw with some other Blue Angels fans. Check out this "virtual" video of the Angels, really cool, like a video game. HUGE filesize, so don't bother if you don't have broadband, sorry. There's other neat aviation videos and photos on that site too.
