I was just playing around with an image I took for a CD cover this morning and I wanted some thoughts. I have about 60 similar images pretty much the same, to choose from but this one caught my eye for a trial edit. Keep in mind, that the font I used is just a place holder and I also think the title should be on the top right.

Ant thoughts? Non-DPC centric preferred....?

edited the image:I just darkened the left side a bit more.

This is to be the Back Cover? What does the front cover look like ?

This is just another that I played with for the front cover but there are better images to choose from. More or less the same but from a few different angles.

Hi Steve

I think the head on shot is better but I think the CD back image is pretty strong, although I would tend to desat everything except the guitarist. The font is also too large and I think that a serif font, pitched smaller and maybe x-or'ed over the background could be better.

One other observation: if this is a group why only show the "main man"?

Back to arguing about the Sony Alpha :-)

I like both back and front very much. Good photos and good treatment in pp to mute the colors a bit and make them look just a tad grungy.

what would be cool is to use the back cover on the front and have the exact same shot taken from behind the subject so you see the backs of the people walking up the street.

however front cover you show here would work fine also.
