upload my soft focus picture and my camera and computer are'nt recognising each other.
Any helpful hints?

Do you have a USB card reader? If not then I'd strongly recommend one! :)
In the meantime, have you tried a different USB port?
Restarting the computer?
Search for hardware in windows?

no card reader
only 1 USB port
will try restarting computer right now :-)

i missed a challenge deadline for this reason, so i went out and bought a card reader
love it. it's leaps and bounds faster than my camera cord
