Kelli, don't be afraid to try a little more Photoshop now and then - I do have to remind myself which challenge I'm entering but anything you do that affects the photograph overall is generally OK for basic. About the only things I do differently in advanced is occasionally clone out birds (pesky things when they're just specks) and attempt dodging and burning with very limited success.

And more congratulations - this time to Eric for his 5th place finish in Action II!! WAY TO GO!

Many congrats to Louis for his first ribbon! *applause* Geez you guys are gettin' good.

Jeff has some really nice new stuff in his portfolio, by the way, and Kirsty snuck one in a challenge from vacation - I'd missed that one (in Color on Color).

And where have Bernard and James been lately anyway?

I'm heading off to somewhere where it's hopefully cooler (it's day ten of triple digits so far this month - cools off all the way to 95 by about 9 pm). I have one in Camera Self-Portrait that's really, really, REALLY bad, but I got talked into it. No comments are necessary other than "What were you thinking?" :-)

I am still here but a bit behind on comments. I will catch up by Sunday night I promise. I have shots in for three challenges this week - all 5.6-5.8 range. And then I have 3 shots in for next week plus my free study ready to go. I totally understand if you guys do not want to comment on each and every one - I am crzy about entering everything I can even if my shot stinks. So pick and choose - thats fine by me.

Oh yeah - Congrats to Louis as well. I am sure he still pokes his head into this threada every so often.

I'll probably take a short break from entering as I'll be on the laptop and doing vacation things with family. Besides, things have been so hectic I didn't even get to vote in Transportation, and I try to vote 100% in every challenge I enter. So maybe I'll have to enter a few less just to keep up with the voting!
