This is a public service announcement:

I've been using Google Reader for a few weeks now to quickly scan my favorite photo blogs. It's freakin' awesome, I highly recommend it for photo bloggers.

You type in the url of you're favorite photo blogs (or any site with an rss feed) and once google reader "finds" it, just click "subscribe". Now everytime you log into it (yes, you have to create an account which takes about 60 seconds) - it'll remember which sites you've seen since your last login, and show you the new stuff.

I love it ... thought I'd share

kris

you can start by adding my blog :)

I use Bloglines, which does essentially the same thing, for my rss feeds. It has a nice little taskbar icon that notifies me whenever there are unread items (I'm only 858 behind right now).

My blog is //hyperbolical.org/pxl/
(warning - possible suckage on mine)

;)

I use google reader as well; mostly because I got sick of jumping all over the internets to read things. Mostly I watch tech blogs, though, and it's nice having a bunch of headlines to scroll through all at once. And you can star the ones that are important/interesting so they're easier to find, too.

I've got a blog up at //wordswords.modgethanc.com but it's not so much a phlog as it is rather miscellaneous (though i do make 'pix plz' posts now and then). Once I get into the swing of things some more I might open a phlog again...I've had a few here and there but I never really commited to them so much.

it depends on how the feeder is set up - sometimes you have to go to the site to see the photo, but at least you'll know there's something new to be seen - and the link to the site is right there within the reader.
