| just curious... do you all vote in challenges that you are entered in? i havent in the past... it felt weird voting for photos "competing" against my photo... but i wanted some other opinions!!! |

I didn't my first challenge but I have the last three. I've found that my voting average for those challenges I've entered is identical to those I vote on but don't enter. Once you get into the voting mode, you almost forget about your entry and start comparing each entry to the others your have looked at.

| I vote in every challenge, regardless of whether I have a shot submitted or not. |

"Never" it just doesn't feel right for me.
However some people prefer it because they are more familiar with the topic and can be more empathetic.

| A photo is a photo. What difference if one of my own is in the mix with 356 others. I vote on all of them unless the challenge is just so mind numbingly dull that I can't bear to flip through it. |

I am trying to vote on as many challenges as possible. Of the current run (fire, transport, peas) I voted on every photograph except for some in "from the ground up" because there were so many in that challenge, but I did comment on about 50 of them so I figure that makes up.
I don't think having my own photo in the mix changes anything.

I only vote on challenges I haven't entered. Too hard to remain "unbiased" - right or wrong, that's the way I am. ;^) |
