I have a bunch of zip disks that I never used...I think I have 15 and I used maybe 2 or 3 a few times. I hate to throw them out but I have no use for them.
If you pay for shipping, I'll send them to you.
They are pc100 by iomega.
I know, I know, old technology, but if someone can use them, I'd rather give them away instead of trashing them. I think I bought them at Costco for around $70.

Good luck finding someone. I have three or four that I could never find a new owner for. Everyone I knew who had been using Zip disks had stopped.
They were good technology in their time, but burnable (and later rewritable) CDs pretty much blew them away.

Don't feel too bad. I have about 50 disks and 3 or 4 drives just sitting here collecting dust. :D
If nobody wants them, maybe you can donate them to Goodwill. That's what I do with most of my old computer equipment.
BTW, thanks for bringing this up. I still have some data stored on mine that I need to transfer to CD/DVD before I donate them.

My friend will take them all if you're willing to box them up and ship them media rate. |

i got a pile of those laying around here someplace. I dumped my Zip Drive when I got my first CD Writer. Have never looked back. none of my machines have a Floppy A drive in them anymore either.
This thread has given me an idea. These zip disks have the transparent colored plastic which after taking them apart I think might work quite nice as a filter if held over a speed light. while taking pictures. I have blue yellow red green purple and orange.
when it gets dark tonight I think ill give it a go.
Edit to add. think about donations to your local schools. I just donated a bunch of stuff to my kids school including an old sony camcorder a computer 2 CRT monitors and a bag full of old mouses pads a box of kids educational software titles which I purchased new from the bargain bin at Walmart. It is a good cause and a great place to get rid of stuff that can still be used for something other than a door stop or dust collector.
