How many people think the red ribbon from the last fire challenge would get hammered from the current DNMC crew roaming the site?

"That looks like sparks to me, not fire. 4"
"Where's the fire? 3"
"I was looking more for flames. 3"
"DNMC. 1"
"Great job!"

Ack!!!!!! I requested this challenge and I'm stuck in Washington State without any of my fire gear. I hope I have enough time when I get back to get one that's as good as

well I entered my second challenge! Woohoo for me!

Prepare to be underwhelmed!

As of right now I'm just hoping to make it into the top 36. (as of right now there are 36 entries including my own)

in case anyone is wondering, tissue paper is higly flammable and candle wax comes off of cement pretty well with paint thinner. Ya know...in case you're messy like me :)

if we're giving tips...

powdered non-dairy creamer when thrown in the air is HIGHLY flamable. try it, sprinkle some over a match in the sink.

(I am not responsible if you burn down your... anything)

1 pair of shoes and several burns later, I am in. Polish up your 4-5 scores, its boring. The one I was shooting for, got a little out of control (stupid desert wind) and cost me a shoe.

(Picture a troll doll, a woody, and lots of fire...... now, ghust of wind and troll falls. It did not stamp out well! Thank god for water hoses ROFLMAO Guess the idea of the burning of the DPC troll got stomped on too.)

I had a blast! You gotta love DPC where else on the net would I get a reason to play with fire.

Good luck all

Sadly my first idea didn't quite work, I have a weird non flame portrait test shot and 1 badly burnt finger (the reason I stopped the attempt).

I have however entered a decent safe(r) shot that I think will achieve/beat my stopped motion 6.4 :)

Is smudging one pixel in advanced editing illegal?

I would say no since you can clone over it anyway.

These were supposed to be safe? No wonder I don't have any hair left on my hands....geesh, nobody told me to start with.

It took me over 75 attempts to get a halfway decent shot, too. OUCH

Cool... there was one little stinking pixel-like dot came out red, I don't know what it is, I don't think it is a hot pixel, but I will check tomorrow... right now, all I want is go to sleep. Submitted my one pixel fixed photo... sooooo tired.

good luck to all in fire challenge.

I'm in! I'm fairly stoked (pun intended). Wasn't what I originally had in mind, but that turned into a fiasco. I like this one quite a bit though.

Flame on!
