Argh! One day too early . . . (here is the link in case you can't see the photo below)
i was biking over the brooklyn bridge and i saw a film crew set up by city hall. i saw it was a spiderman shoot but i didn't know what they were going to do. for some reason i put my camera on fast shooting mode and all of a sudden i see spiderman flying in the air and i'm going click click click click and i got it (sort of, the second frame is a bit blurry)
ps - as i was shooting i was wondering if i could submit it for the fauna challenge as 'urban fauna' ;-)
pps - how do the framing rules apply for this challenge, using the above as an example . . .

Since there are no editing restrictions, you should be able to frame it however you'd like.
By the way.. cool series of shots.

I just figured out how to do this with old shots and now I wait impatiently for my new camera to arrive and hope it will be in time to get some new shots for the challenge.
Sigh.
I posted two triptyches to my portfolio this evening:

I think it is... the description says there are NO rules for this one. |

The last three images work together the best, the first image does set the sequence, but detracts from the action of the other three. Nice job capturing a scene that I am sure occurred very quickly. |

Aww. It's a bummer that this is a member only challenge. I'd have loved to participate.

How? The PayPal payment process requires a credit card. And money order is costly.

PayPal does electronic transacations from checking accounts too.
Also money orders aren't all that expensive when you consider how much interest is paid on a credit card and they are no where near as expensive as the charges the banks place on a checking account. |

I read their help pages and it seems that this is not available for international accounts (I live in Germany).

Today I went to the post office which does Western Union money transfer and they told me that sending 25$ would cost me 26 Euros extra in fees! So that would more than double the membership costs for me. Well, I'm willing to support DPC but not those vampires of bankers ;-)
But somewhere in the forum I read from Drew that they want to switch from PayPal to something different. So I have hope :)

Maybe DPC can just establish that Swiss bank account now, and provide a PO Box address on the sign-up page. Everyone can mail any kind of check there, right? |

A good hidden Swiss bank account might be a lucrative way for DPC to make a little cash on the side by money laundering or the like. |
