No, we'll start with that - there are now 4 challenges that round so a bad Stopped Motion shouldnt cause you too much pain.

I am serioulsy considering pulling my Stopped Motion entry. I've never done that, but I am trying to get my average over a 6 and this one will kill me on that.

You can only pull an entry very rarely. It counts against your DQ total. So If I pull this one and then get a DQ within the next 25 entries, I could be banned from submitting for a week. Still, I am thinking about it.

I think the voters are being hard in this challenge. The last 9 votes overnight averaged 4.4 on my shot. I'm at 5.4598 now - I relly thought I'd get close to a 6 on this one :(

I should have gone with my other entry. I hete it when I second guess myself.

I thought this was the safe one, I was thinking 5.5 to 5.7.

It's at 4.8 right now. I've never had one under 5. Came close once.

I aways give at least a 5 if it meets the challenge and is techincally good (focus, exposure, basic composition, etc.) And my entry is good on all of that.

To get a 3 or 4 from me it has to be really bad. Camera phone bad. If I find on going for "the brown" I'll give it a 7 or 8 ;-)

If we had been in week 4 of WPL we would have scored 6.2388 and been ranked 5th. In all four weeks it has been running our score would have been made up by the same 4 photographers: mad_brewer, SherwinJames, Zoomdak, and scarbrd

I think everyone will get their chance. Right now I have a 5.8 in Stopped Motion and 5.5 in From the Ground Up.

OK, I self DQd my Stopped Motion II. I just couldn't stand in any more.

Getting a 6.5ish in From the Ground Up

Hey Ken, are you an Irish fan? I try to go to one game a year. I am looking at going to the ND-Stanford game in October.

I'm a big ND fan, I didn't go to school there but I applied and was accepted (no $$$ at the time). And I am a Catholic, so it's allowed!

Nope, not a ND fan. I'm not really into college football.

My Ground up was climbing all morning then got hit with fives this afternoon. Oh well.

I guess you pulled it as it's not in your profile. Fancy posting it here?

Entered and pulled

Wanted to enter but thought I'd get killed on the motion blur in the club head

Heya all! What's happening. Sorry, haven't checked into our thread in a while. Has anyone finished the logo, I'm willing to do it, I just need to know what needs to be done.

I think that we got to thinking that gun cross-hairs may be a bit too assasin-like so we'd try to mimic the old-style focus rings you used to see when you looked through the viewfinder in older SLR's. (I think) it had a small ring in the middle that was divided into four and (here's where my memory gets vague) half was OOF until you go the focus correct by turning the focus ring on the lens.

I still like the idea of shooting a rubber duck - hmmm, perhaps I should see a therapist :)

EDIT: For a different approach, and I hope you don't mind me stealing your image Zoomdak, but how about we go for something simplier and without the humor like this:

OK, maybe it was just when the target was a person that it didn't seem right? What if the target was a blue ribbon? That's what we are all aiming for isn't it?

I like this! I also like the idea of the blue ribbon in the crosshairs too.

No, but we were too late for WPL2. According to our team captain it will be later this year.

Don't mind at all. Maybe slightly bigger text though.
Think I'll make another run at the duck idea, or ribbon
