No, I love life.

Are you ok? Maybe you should talk to someone?

Robert, considering what we are all going through regarding Steve's disappearance....I desparately ask you to talk to someone....anyone....you can pm me from my profile.

That is too serious of a comment to take lightly.

There have been some very difficult times in my life recently.

Things get better.

Talk to family or friends or tell your doctor. Just get help!

PM me or someone for help.

You can PM me too.. I might not have helpful things to say (although maybe I would) but I am always willing to be a listening ear.

People care about you, both offline and people here!

Hey man, some good advice here in this thread. I hope you heed it, there is too much to live for in this life my friend.

Yes, I do a lot. I always have though it's not some new depressed phase or anything. As a teenager i tried a few times to make it so. I haven't done that as an adult but I won't lie and say I havent thought about it and how easier it would make things. but i know as much as I'd like to tell myself it would make my family's lives easier I know it wouldn't. Wether you're jsut asking out of natural curiosity or you are really thinking strongly about it right now. I suggest you talk to someone which i'm sure you'd like to do since you came here and asked. that shows me your not ready to go without a fight thank godness. If you don't want to call the number provided you can always PM me. I'm almost always here.

Just a few of my reasons to live. I know some of yours may be different, but if you really think about it I bet you can come up with quite a list. Keep in mind I have a chronic illness with no cure and I am very limited in what I can do. The majority of my days are spent holed up in my basement.

My family - though we defiantely have problems at times I know we truely are better off with each other than without.

My dogs - it's amazing how powerful it is to have an animal unconditionally love you.

Photography
Candy
the Sun
Sunset / Sunrise
Trees
fresh air
Sex
my pillow when I'm really tired and my head just sinks in
this web site
fotomann_forever, Judi, ART ROFLMAO, MK, Librodo, kirbic, Hbunch and MANY others
laughing
hot showers
swimming
Hawaii
big stretches when I've been sitting to long
Vanilla Ice Cream
My friends Brian and Scott (3,000 miles away from me but probably my only true friends at this point)
the music I'm listening to right now
etc etc etc

sometimes the silliest things in life are actually the most important. Make a list and be honest - don't allow yourself to say you have nothing to put on it. Deep down, you know you do.

Eh - I've been really close twice.
Trust me - it's NOT somewhere I want to go anytime soon, and neither should you.
No matter how bad something seems, the alternative really sucks.

I PM'd robert and he indicated 'everthing is fine just want to talk about something different instead of pick your
favorite picture from the person above'

I'm sorry, but there are better topic starters.

And if you want to talk....why aren't you talking???

My wife and I just lost a friend of our this past week. Nobldy is certain why it happened, especially under questionable circumstances. Once again life has been shoved in our face and we find ourselves questioning lots. This person had so many people that cared for her and she didn't know. She never talked with anybody, and I'm sure she felt alone in life and even died alone. However there are so many of us who wished we could have help had we known. If you are truely feeling like you just can't take it anymore, please, talk with somebody. It doesn't even need to be anybody you know. There are times when not knowing the person you are opening up to is easier to do. I too will say, PM if you need to talk.

popcorn with butter made in a pan
flip flops!
rain on lakes
trains
kitties!
kitties!
kitties!
the way butter looks when you first open it
creamy peanut butter and grape jelly on white bread
lighting things on fire
mini-donuts
exercise for when you realize that all your favorite things are foods

That'll carry me through until the end of work at least.

Awwww. I am touched. ;-)

Look Robert - I doubt anyone can say they never thought about it. My Grandfather blew his brains out in the living room of his house with a shotgun to have my grandma awake to find him like that. While you might think it is a "way out" of your situation, it may just be a "way in" to a much, much worse experience - and that doesn't depend on what you believe - it depends on what is the ultimate truth. Also, you would likely be devastating anyone who cares about you and I am sure there are others besides your virtual friends here.

Get some help, buddy. Bad things always pass and we tend to make them out to be much worse than they are. You can feel free to PM or email me as well. I'm not much of a therapist as most people here could assume, but I do have some experience in life to draw upon that may help.

Go and get a chocolate doughnut from the Doughnut Plant on the Lower East Side. You'll feel better.

might I ask what good is peace and quiet if you can't hear anything? I would prefer to just get a weekend away from my Kids and Pets. Who am I kidding What I really want to do is run away to Brazil and become a Photographer for a Nudie Magazine. But I'll still take that weekend. If it ever happens.

Wow!! What a great post, very life-affirming. Happiness and worthwhile living really are made up of the smallest things.

(And the comment about the power of unconditional love is so very true.)

Please re-consider life. It's a royal pain in the butt, but there is much potential for great things. Enjoyment of life knows no bounds. Even the poorest man in India is blessed to see the beauty of a butterfly as it passes him by.

A 13 yr old girl failed too. She is missed and the world is a sadder place with her ripped from it's fabric. This is what a bunch of us did trying to help others avoid her choice.

photography itself is the practice of pulling the hidden beauty out of a sometimes discouraging and mundane world.

the beauty is always there. it just gets lost sometimes.

hmm... can we mix this one with the kitties one?!

no wait... ken made me say that... honest...

seriously, though... i think there's a big difference between having a thought and entertaining one. questions only lead us to answers because Truth _does_ exist... and since He gave me this life, i figure i'll keep living it until God decides otherwise.
