I was thinking about what might be useful in terms of recent forum posts. There's a couple of things floating around my head..
First off was to put the "recent forum activity" bit that is currently on the site index onto the forum index page, as well.
Secondly was to have a seperate page with a link from the forum index that shows recently active threads and / or threads since your last visit to the forums.
Thirdly came the idea that you take that same page, and make recent active threads that you have participated in show up in bold. (This happens on a few other forums I've seen.)
Fourthly would be to take the existing index page, and expand the sections for each sub-forum, so that it shows the forum name, and also a direct link to the latest thread in that forum, along with who posted the last post to it and at what time.
These might add a bit of load, but would make the forums lots more accessible. |

click the community link at the top - not any of the drop downs - click the word ' community '.
