Depends on what you are using the photo for?

AdobeRGB for websites.
sRGB for printing pictures from places.

Isn't it the other way around? ... sRGB is for monitor resolutions.

AdobeRGB has more colors so its better for printing
sRGB matching the color palette used in web broswers so its better as a selection for images you plan to post on websites.

So sRGB is better to post-process into challenge entries?

Yep. AdobeRGB ends up getting translated and tends to look muddier or duller. sRGB is truer to what the original image looked like when it was post-processed.

Forgot to add that in the same way that some people like to shoot in RAW and then convert to JPG because it gives them more latitude you can also shoot in AdobeRGB to get richer colors or a wider palette and then just when you go to post your images on DPC or in a gallery for your clients you should convert those to sRGB so that they'll look bright. You should check with your printing company (if you send them JPGs) to see how they want the images for best printed results. Then again, you could simply allow them to color correct the images but that gets into a whole other kettle of fish.

you can edit everything in adobe rgb for the web...but before you save, hit "proof colors" and then you can tweak it to get it how you want for the web.
