For quite some time I have used a site that has excellent comparisons and tests of a wide variety of lenses. Unfortunately I recently had a computer problem that caused me to lose all my bookmarks and I can't for the life of me remember the url.
The one I am looking for allowed you to look by brand or lens type.
I would really appreciate any site references that may get me back there. |

Thanks...I'm a member there, but that isn't the one I was looking for.
The site I seek has very compact and concise comparisons, one line per lens, with many lenses per page, making comparisons between lenses very quick and easy, something the miranda site doesn't have. |

Thanks Dave - that's pretty good, but not nearly as nice as what I used. For instance, the site I seek had lenses listed by type (wide tele, wide prime, etc. - something like B&H) You could then scroll by category and lenses of all brands tested would be listed in order of overall score along with their scores in specific tests. That made it easy to see where the price/performance compared. The prices weren't listed, but those are fairly easy to find.

That rings a bell for sure, but I can't find the site either :-(

Not the one again, although it is nice to have all these references...the site I am looking for does not require any redirecting to another page once you get to the listings. The one line for each lens had test results for many criteria, including build quality, edge/center sharpness, AF speed, CA, vignetting and several more. And it listed them in order of overall score, regardless of brand. So you might have a Canon "L" as first listing, Sigma APO next, etc. That is how I decided to get my Sigma 120-300 f2.8...it was second on the list (not by much), but a few grand cheaper.
If I remember right, the listings could be filtered by mount type, for instance Canon. |

Hmmm...I couldn't find any lens comparisons there at all. Pretty sure that's not it. |

Eddi, thanks, but this site appears to just list the specs of the various lenses. The one that I have lost the url to compares test results of lenses of different brands in one long list. |

sigh...not the one, and I'm feeling guilty taking up the bandwidth. Now that I know how to backup my bookmarks (and addresses) I've learned my lesson, but geez, I'd like to find that site again! |
