Seems like the search results always put me on the first page, which is annoying for 30-page threads. |

Thanks, but I wasn't clear enough.
What I mean is, let's say I search for "S2 IS" from the main forums home page. I get a list of all threads where someone at some point used that text.
When I click on the link, it takes me to page 1, not to the page or the thread that actually used that term. For 30-page threads, that means a LOT of clicking to search for the term within the thread. It'd be the equivalent of Google sending you to a site's home page instead of the page where the search term occurred.
Granted, the search term might be in several pages of a given thread, but we could at least link to the first page that had it. Even better would be to link right to the post itself.

I understand what you're asking for. In the meantime, for a workaround, I'd suggest setting your number of posts per page to 200. Set that way, very few threads hit more than 2-3 pages and the ones that do are either full of complaining or full or goofing around and don't need to be searched anyway. ;) This way you'll generally have one, sometimes two pages to check and ctrl+f fixes that. |

I just search the forums through Google Advanced search and it makes it easier. |
