| are their any good cameras (as in good for a p/s) on the PDA's? I'm waiting to replace my palm, phone and p/s camera with an all in one unit... but so far all the camera's are waaay to shite :P the k800i looks interesting since it has a flash, but is it overall good? like good enough to replace a p/s camera? |

I suppose whether or not you think it is good enough will depend on what you expect out of a point and shoot camera, and what you are willing to sacrifice in order to have the camera built in to your fairly small phone.
The pictures out of the k800i are certainly of a good quality, I feel, and I'm not sure that you will see much better out of the size of sensor that gets crammed into phones (not, at least, in the near future anyway.)
When you consider that you get 3MP, anti-shake, flash, auto-focus and a selection of shots before and after pressing the shutter, I reckon it does fine. All that it's lacking compared to some p&s is optical zoom, but that would significantly increase the amount of mechanical space required. So really you're looking at wide-angle uses. |

The N93 has a 3x optical zoom, which is why I was looking at it. I will try and have a play with one tomorrow and will let you know.

Yeah unfortunately though they look ugly and are bulky for a phone. This is the compromise ;) |

| I've not really been keeping up with PDAs, but I don't believe that the market has really started putting anything like decent cameras on them. They tend to be more "business-like". |

Originally posted by mist: Yep, I asked for the k800i to be added but the reply said they needed a link to the exif spec, which I can't find for it (even though the phone does produce exif data for the pics). |
You must include a foto containing exif info w/your request for your phone to be added.
This picture from your phonecam gallery should be acceptable -
