Any way to add a little "previous entry" and "next entry" to each entry's page? It'd be much nicer than having to repeatedly hit the back button or open new windows or tabs.

I like that sugestion. If you use firefox, and have a scroll wheel on your mouse and click the scroll wheel over the photo it will open up a new tab. But thats all the help I can offer. I'd like to see a next entry button though too. I woul probably look at more photos from challenges.

But I thought that's what those double arrows were for, next to the 1 and the 10 in the voting panel under the image. >> forward to the next image, << back to previous, sorta thing. Am I missing something?

That's during voting. He is referring to after the end of the challenge.

that's only during the voting period.
we are suggesting that something similar be made to browse challenge history, or portfolios or other "groups" of photos on the site.

Thanks, crayon. I did, indeed, mean after challenges are over.

And I see from the thread you linked to that the same idea has come up.

In fact, your screen mockup is perfect! In fact, exactly the same arrows would work for the next line in the left box: collections. And, for that matter, galleries, although they'd need to split the two galleries onto their own lines.

All of the people who keep posting about Firefox extensions or keyboard shortcuts as better than using a tiny amount of screen real estate miss the point that an enormous majority of people have no clue how to do those things, and it's fruitless to design assuming they do.
