Not sure if Phoenix TAP was one of the places that was looked into but I just found this:

//www.phoenixtap.com/5_0_club_

"Davidson's Raiders

Davidson's Raiders: Division L - Steve Davidson (Cpt), Abalino Garza, Andrew Doherty, Don Hoadley, John Olson, Kevin Leach and Matt MacMillan

08/23/05"

Dated last year but maybe the team member names will help.

I'll keep searching...

Just got back from 5 hours of looking with Laura.

No luck, but we passed posters around to a few places.

We checked every boxy looking silver car we saw. I'll be seeing silver boxy looking cars in my sleep.

I will check by in the morning before I go off to work, around 5:30 UK time. I hope to see some good news about Steve. Once again our community here shows what people will do to help their fellow man.

Mike

Can´t say that I knew Steve but I definately knew who he was when seeing the name and connected it to some of his photos that had been in challenges.

Anyway, hope nothing bad has happened to you Steve and there is some perfectly good explanation for all of this, like that you just won a 2 week trip to Hawaii and are right now sitting out there in the sun with a coctail in your hand, sunbathing and just got to excited about winning this trip you forgot to tell everybody.

I'm having a few more thoughts. He's a business guy...he must use a date book of some sort. Have you looked for a planner or checked his calendar for any appointments? How about his answering machine? Anyone calling looking for him? Is it possible he was scheduled to shoot for someone and he hasn't shown up? That would definitely indicate something is wrong, if he didn't show for work.

Assuming he's good about paying his bills, are there any bills in his mail bin that have just passed the deadline or will in the next few days? Doesn't seem that he would leave without paying them first. Of course, if he pays online it would be hard/impossible to track his payments.

Does he have a mailbox or a post office box? Ask the post office if he asked to have his mail held.

Does he have a fish tank? Is there a 'self feeder' in it, indicating he was going away?

Lots of groceries in the fridge as if he wasn't planning to be long?

Does he mow his own lawn? Does he hire someone? If so, were they told anything?

You've been in touch with the TV stations and were going to work on the Radio...has anyone gotten in touch with newspapers? Everyone at looks at the front page while in the checkout.

Just trying to think of everything and anything...

No planner, no answering machine only a cell phone that hasn't been available for a few weeks. No other known appts, no work schedule: freelance.

That information is being checked into.

Mailboxes are locked here, no key found yet.

No fishtank

Not many groceries, but he does live alone

He does not hire anyone for this

I sent emails and left phone messages with newspapers last weekend with no response, my terrific contact with AZ Parks is assisting with this

Dang. :-( Back to the drawing board...

Btw, I did know it was freelance but thought maybe he had a session scheduled with someone/for something and didn't show.

Someone mentioned in the early stages about flying clubs. Has that been considered? Not necessarily asking them to do specific searches but if they happen to be out anyway you could ask them to keep their eyes open.

Thanks for replying, Tina. I know you're very busy.

And there are no places in the area where he might have stopped in to eat, buy food or rest up? I've read it's a rural area, so there can't be TO many places.

I've been following this thread pretty closely the last few days. Just wanted to add my voices to the list of the many who are concerned for Steve's well-being. I've always enjoyed his work, although I wouldn't say that I "know" him.

I'm optimistic that he'll be located safe and sound, and that all will be well.

I'll be looking forward to hearing good news soon.

There are too many places... It's very residential actually, just backed up to national forest land. Samantha and I were talking while driving around saying how hard it is to check with gas stations restaurants and supermarkets on every corner and 5 minutes after you leave who knows! We'd have to have 500 stakeouts for a mile raidus! UGH!!! I'm so frustrated! (I'm just tired- it's hot out there...)

Ignore what you saw on channel 3 this evening. I have no clue where they got their information but as far as we know none of that is true.

I won't repeat what they said because I'm not going to further any bad info.

My prayers are with you Steve. If you are tasking time out, that's OK, but get in touch with someone and let them know.

Ahhhh I see, I got the impression it was more rural than it really is, I guess. But he would need to eat and get gas SOMEWHERE. Maybe a couple of places which might be the first you hit coming from the Superstitions. You could post the flyers in their windows?
Hopefully, youll get your subpoena for his credit card records and they will yield some clues. If you have his CC info, you may be able to call the CC company and get a balance using their computer system without actually talking with someone. That info should be in his home somewhere.
I'm pretty sure you probably thought of everything. But, it was just a thought.

Somebody must have the key. Have you considered waiting for the postal person to get in? Breaking the lock? I'm sure there are legal concerns there but without much detail you may want to consider everything.

A good thought too- I wish we could do it. :0)

We also don't know if he is still in the area- two days driving can get you very far.

I don't get that channel so you have sparked my curiosity,. Don't you love it when the media go on the air with out facts? Sometimes the story itself is more important to the reporters and producers than the truth behind the story.

Bumping...

Here's a thought, I know it was said you checked around the house, did you look through his computer and check the cookies and history? Does he do any banking on line? Could the password and such have been saved automatically? Then you wouldn't have to wait for the court to intervene. I am currently emailed the Mobil Stations in the area with a link to his myspace page.

Can't the son get the information about the bank and credit cards since he is the closest relative? Either that or find a local hacker to help you get the information out, check your local high school computer club!

I may live a long way from you all, but my heart goes out to each and everyone who knows Steve..... I personally hope someone finally finds him. As each day passes, it becomes more serious, but I do hope we have some good news soon. I am in "awe" of his beautifull photos, and just hope and pray that he has some magic images to show us all, on his return.
