I think he was probably referring to best "fantasty football" QB. :P Seriously, I agree. Manning is most definitely not the best QB in the league. He's a very good one that has lived a very charmed life. We'll see how he does this year without Edge and if his replacements struggle we'll know even more!

Mannng the unquestioned leader for the last 5 years or so. He has brought forth:
The highest winning % of an QB in that stretch.
The most yards.
The most TDs.
The 3 most statistically important categories. You can't argue winning it all for any QB because football is the team sport. Brady's numbers are average. He rode the crest of a clutch kicker, a solid coach, and one of top 2 defenses (baltimore) in those 3 years. Last year was his best statistical year and they sucked..Why? Poor defense, no lucky kicks and a general average team. I would pick Big Ben or Delhomme if you want sheer will and leadership. Do you really think the Pats are gonna have a better record, go further in playoffs or win Super Bowl over the Colts? Manning led the Colts to 12-13 wins when they had the worst defense in league. last year, we had a top 5 defense and was one kick away and few unfortunate plays from the Super Bowl. So with another year of defensive confidence, no Dungy tragedy, etc, the Colts are easily the favorite, with the Falcons, Bengals, and Panthers rounding out the lot.

I hear you. I stating my fanboy case for the team side. Fantasy wise, Brady isn't too bad, top 10 at least, and Manning clearly is #1.

Ben had that accident. I don't think he will have a huge year. Steelers 9-6. Manning gets injured colts 9-6. Brady seems to be a safe bet, but who is he throwing to?
I think this year there will be some surprises with so many changes at QB around the leauge. |

League 2 is still stalled at 4 players. We need at least 10 to have a viable league. Any less than that and it's just not fun. Ideal is 12 to 14 (or even as many as 16 - but that's not my concern right now).
For league 2, go to the Yahoo fantasy page link and
Click "sign up now," then join league (it may say "custom league"), and then enter id 253894 and password "pigskin" when asked. You must already have a Yahoo user id to get to this step.
