I knew when I woke up Wednesday morning it had been a bad idea submitting at 3am :o( But I'm learning to trust my instincts....here's hoping my instinct is better for Zen!!!

Quick question...I'm fairly new and this is only my 4th Challenge, up till now I had not received the 'DNMC' but my latest voter seemed happy to allow me entry to the club :)
Is it always hidden voters who think its cool to just write DNMC? I wouldnt waste my time commenting if that was all I was going to write....
Rant over...sorry guys :o)

My guess is that it was either all B&W or it had some color. Everyone has their own take on the criteria. Don't let it get you down.
The challenges are about our vision. We're just trying to please the voters with what we see.

Everything in my photo was either black or white in some form or another, and it isn't doing good at all at a 4.6. At least it's better then a 3.8 when voting first began. So I don't think a little bit of color or not matters much.
Could be the processing? I don't know, but someone wanted it validated. I am still waiting for a go or a no on my entry. I sent in the information that was asked of me about 5 days or so ago, so I have no idea what is going on with my entry. |

Since I have way too much time on my hands, I did a little math and figured out that I need the next 10 voters to rate the photo a 7 in order for the average to be 6.0000. I'm optimistic! Go voters go!! :-)
Note to self: Stop jumbling numbers, get away from the computer, your expectations will be more realistic. :-) |

I thought mine would do a bit better but I'm very happy so far (I was around 6.2 after the first day of votes but since then the score has kept falling). Some really great comments too.
It's an unusual challenge, and people seem to have many different interpretations of it. Very few seem to have read it the way I did, a B&W image taken in full colour. Not easy to get, but interesting results when it happens.

For the past 2 days my score has been pretty much stuck between 5.44 and 5.47 ..........I am sure i must have got at least 100 5's ,the damn score just aint goin up.......When i submitted i thought of somewhere around 6....guess i was gravely mistaken
I would be glad , once the challege results are out if someone could give me some pointers on the Pic....... |

Okay..quick question. Do most of you think it's DNMC if the photo has all of either black..or all white, but not black and white?
I've recieved several DNMC because I'm missing one of the colors

I believe that it most likely fits into the greyscale arena - which happens to fit the challenge just fine and dandy. Tough voters this challenge I tell ya. |

Not a long wait left before the results are out.......
What ranking do you figure you will approximately end up at.....
I have a 5.45 i assume i will land up in 70th-90th ........
I hope i am not being too optimistic in hoping so...:P

If you don't have a validation on your entry after nearly the whole challenge, does that mean it has been disqualified? I'm just wondering because mine has been waiting almost the whole challenge, unless this latest saga with Rikki has caused a long delay?
