I'm been using the 20D at work, and sometimes the exposure compensation will change. And I can't for the life of me figure out how I accidently changed it, or how to change it back.

I don't have a manual so I can't look. I know it's probably the easiest thing, but for some reason, I can't figure it out.

I've been having to clear the camera settings to it defaults back to no compensation. It's so easy to do on my rebel, so I don't really know why I can't figure it out on the 20d.

I know this is the stupidest question, but I'd appreciate the help.

Look at your on/off switch; see the two lines? If you move it all the way to the second line, then the dial on the back works the EV Compensation function, and it's really easy to move it by accident. Turn on to the first line, and that feature is disabled.

Oooh! Thanks!

That makes sense. I was wondering the second line was for. I feel so dumb, but thanks for letting me know.

Took me a while to figure it out myself, actually...

I asked a similar question last week. Seems to be a common problem with an easy fix...LOL
