Take a photo, and post a 100% crop. I have just decided to join a new stock agency, and they keep denying my photos due to excessive artifacting/noise when viewed at full size.

When I look at them they seem fine, however. Of course, they offer no examples of exactly how sharp they are looking for.

I rarely encounter problems like this, but I apparently cannot make something smooth and sharp enough for them.

Can someone post their best example viewed at full size via a crop?

I shoot at 100 ISO, with a tripod, indoors, with a cable release or remote release. I can't imagine what more they are looking for ;-)

And of course, now that they have denied me, I have to keep trying until they accept me.

Are you sharpening? They don't like when folks sharpen images. They want an image that the purchaser can sharpen themselves.

Maybe you could show us an example of a 100% section of one of yours.
Do you shoot RAW? Highest jpeg quality? Any in-camera sharpness, saturation or contrast tweaks? What are your PP steps? What are the file sizes you are dealing with originally and what is sent in? Are they saved for web at 100%? Lotsa questions..

It's like saying Doctor my elbow hurts what should I do about it.

11, 13 and 15 HERE

They are all 100% out of camear crops. No adjustments and no upsizing.

There's a 100 percent crop. Highest jpg setting on my digi rebel 8mp.

Doesn't seem horrible to me, but it's certainly not great. Absolutely no post processing aside from a crop in cs2. All settings in camera factory default.

ISO100
1/13 sec
f5.6

Used the factory kit lens 18-55mm EFS lens

First issue is the kit lens.
It is a great lens for the money, but when getting into high-resolution printing, it falls very short.
It's great for images view on the web. 300 DPI printing is a whole 'nother ball game.
Here is a 100% section of a shot taken at ISO100 (hard to find too - almost never shoot at ISO100) with nothing
more than a crop, and chose a section out of it that had numerous higher-contrast edges and sharp text.

The Tamron 28-75mm lens was used, focal length 28mm, f/6.3, 1/320 sec hand-held, no in-camera settings
boosted such as sharpness, contrast or saturation, done in highest quality jpeg mode:

I'll take a shot with another lens, unfortunately my non-kit lens in the 18-55mm range is broken beyond repair :-(
