ok as some may have notise i am active talker in here but i have never once posted a picture in the challanges. Some might ask them self why is that...
well..
im scared to
easy
I am terrified and i feel inferior. I have social phobia. thats part of why i cant show my "work" not in a competitive sort of way
I realy wish i could
I need a budy to help me learn more on this i think
maybe that would help me?
there are so many things i wanna learn, so many things i wanna do.
one of the things is to send all my international buddys a cd with slideshow from iceland, I have no idea how to do that. wanna make one that works in dvd pleyers and has 4 different catergories(sp?) landscape,animals, people and buildings... show a litle about my country and try my best to get some of my friends over here.
I dont know how to work my camera and am a bit afraid of all the shiny buttons, also i think i kinda have it on a petelstool(sp?) becouse it was a gift from my famely. I care more about that camera then my car.
I wanna learn so many things but i cant learn them by reading. i need to be shown.
I guess im wierd like that
i have hard time learning things by book but looking at something makes me able to do it....
I wish i could send up piccis here for critisism, but when i did that in another forum last year when i fyrst was starting to get interested in photography for real using my bf´s sony, i got shot down pretty bad.
ok so the piccis werent great, they werent realy suposed to be, it was from a binge drinking escurtion with friends that ended a bit on the.. erm.. fun side:p
but nowdays i know photography is something i want to do, something i want to be involved with for a long time. And i just dont have the confidence to do much about it....
how can i learn if i dont open myself up?
how can i learn if i dont get crhitisied and dont try to go out there to learn?
sometimes i just want to curl up between mom and dad and pretend im 5 agen.........

You have a head start, you live in Iceland. ;o)
If you have questions about your camera or other parts of photography, ask away. This community is always willing to help.
By the way (BTW), I really like your signature. It is so true.

and i quite like that quite thats why i chose it. it is so true:p
I have asked for help here and in other places and its just to confusing for me to read it, i need show and tell im afraid, bit on the slow side, me bieng blond and icelandic and all:p
no ofence to other blond icelandics.
the biggest reason why im ranting here now is the one person i trust to ask these things and answer in a way i understand, well i havent seen him in few weeks and he hasnt goten online or answered my text messegaes, everyone is starting to wonder where he is.....
and now im getting paranoied and manic, ok have to talk myself down here take a nice long shower and go on a date with bf. maybe go to the movies. havent gone for 3 years...

I kind of understand you, I have quite the same problem, I dont like people to critique my work since I love it so much and I put all my heart taking pictures... But the first thing you need to understand is that not everyone will have the same taste as you... Some people will love what you do, and other dont, and that is a rule of life that will affect everything you do...
BUT now you are in the right place :D I have been submiting and uploading pictures for two weeks, and people in here DO tell you what is wrong, but always in a nice way, they try to explain you what is wrong and what can be better, and that way, you start learning and doing better things, that`s the way I am doing it, and it`s working... Try to browse around some profiles of people that now are popular and have loads of ribbons, I can bet that they started as bad as everyone, but they wanted to learn and they did...
No one born knowing, and practice make masters... So go on and start submitting to challenges, read, understand comments and go on...

I say just do it! Throw your photos out there and to hell with what 'they' think of 'em. What do 'they' know anyway?

BTW, you shouldn't be afraid of showing your photos here because they're very good! You also have a gorgous model to work with. :D
