This is my first attempt to take a photo of the sky and clouds. Let me know your honest opinions. It was very bright out.

My honest opinion is this is my least favorite shade of blue for a sky. That is, perhaps, a preference only, but it always reminds me of faded slides.

I'd go for darker instead of lighter. You can more easily do it with a circular polarizer instead of trying to manage it in PS.

DrAchoo's secret to ribbons=no cyan, I actually thought of this for my shadows entry and I can't say he is wrong. :)
I took a try at editing it too and put the steps I took from the original in the comments. Investing in a circular polarizer is so valuable, It really makes colors pop.

Thanks, I forgot to add for the levels I moved the slider on the right to where the histogram started to appear.
