I heard many complaints and saw many "Edit"s just for the spelling mistakes...

I found a good solution for that, and I am using it for a long time now. I would like to share it with you.

I use "Opera" browser and email client for myself. It is a tabbed browser, with "Session" save option (so you won't loose which websites you were browsing in those tabs). email client is very light, built right in, and you could check send read emails same time you are browsing the Internet, and doing it in one application.

anyway, I had a chance to get one for free. They had a special month thingie, and I was lucky enough to catch them. I think they still do have free one but with ads.. I am not sure how much they want for the full version, but shouldn't be too much...

Ok, and now the spell checker.

There is something called "Aspell" for windows. It could be installed and attached to your "Right Click" for some applications. One of them is Opera.

Each time I type something into posts or emails, I right click and select "Spell Check" which does a very good job.

Just research, and find out more about Opera, and Aspell... we'll see how many people will start using after I mentioned it :P

This is for your information only, nothing else :)

Leo

PS: Doesn't check grammars though :(

The Google toolbar for FireFox has spell checking built in. You can check anything you type into any form.

My mistakes are more often grammatical or ... just plain missing words. (comes from the brain thinking faster than the fingers are typing)

I too love the Google Toolbar Spellcheck. If only I used it consistently.

Been almost a year since Opera dropped the ads and the fee.

For IE there is IESpell and for Firefox there is Spellbound. Both work quite well.

Well that's incredibly cool. I never noticed it was there before.
FireFox rocks (as does Google)
