This would probably be a neat toy if it actually takes halfway decent photos.

I've always thought about mounting a camera to a RC helicopter. That would be awesome.
Problem is, I never could learn to fly a RC Helicopter. It's like trying to balance a marble on the end of a broomstick.

i wonder if you can practice flying it with out the camera just in case you crash and burn.
also if i see one over my house - it'll likely be shot down by miniature surface to air missles ;}

I wonder if it has a zoom lens? Could be nice for beach flyovers :-)

if you want to see a top dollar system, check this one out:
//www.neural-robotics.com/Products.htm
I've seen their autocopter setup in person and it is very impressive. One set of flight controls, and a separate set of controls and monitor for the videographer/photographer. The stabilized gimbal mount on the front is really something. They used to have videos of it in operation, if you get a chance and would like to see something neat, check it out. |

From a < $200 plane with camera from Walmart, nah... I don't think so :-) I'd be suprised if it had a res greater than 640x480.
Mount Bigma with a 1Ds mkII on it and I'd be a bit concerned :-)
Now that is what I'm talking about :-)
