Exactly right. I had to fight with a photographer who used 4 of my images on a porn site last month and had the viewers argue with me that they were not stolen. And after 3 months I am still fighting with a company that is continuing to use my images to sell their web templates...they are totally ignoring any communication from me. So no matter who you are...there are people out there who don't care.

Have you tried reporting the site to Google? Chances are they are probably listed there and may even be signed up with Google's Adwords/Adsense programs. In any case Google (at least in the past) has been very cooperative in terms of getting sites like that to remove copyright content or risk a permanent ban at the search engine, which I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want to risk. Might be something to try if you haven't already done so.

well, I've gotten no response from myspace yet, but photobucket sent me an email telling me that the photo in question was not in her account, and I checked and it STILL is, so I sent them another email saying so with the new links...
people can be so.... blark! can't think of a better word
and that really sucks about your photos Judi... hmm, if I were rich (I'd do a lot of things, but...) I would sue people like this just on principle, or find out where she lives and fly there and slap her, hahaha |

If you can find any of their customers who bought and are using the templates, contact them and threaten to sue them. The company selling them will soon feel the pressure. ...hopefully. :(

Hmmm...do you have the link for reporting it to Google. I seem to be getting pushed from one page to the next and not getting anywhere fast.

Well I know that this partucular template is being sold on a number of sites so tracking them is difficult and I can see it has been downloaded 7 times but as to on which site I don't know. So that might be difficult.

One key and a quick crop in Photoshop is all it took for me to "steal" your image. |
There are also other ways to do it much easier than this that I don't think would be good to advertise....
But anyway, there are still three or more pictures on her site in question to me, 2 of which I know for a fact are DPC images...
She still has a mesh one and the one with the diamond thong, I don't remember who these belong to.
Also, the worst part is that she obviously has them on her computer and who knows where else she's posted them, or where she'll continue posting them.... |

Figure out how to disable the print screen key. |

with freedownload manager I could download every visable picture on this site without ever right clicking or even opening the site in a browser. Type in the URL and it'll leech the whole thing. |

That's beyond the capabilities of most web programming languages. You may be able to run some sort of ActiveX script... but that would require the user to accept the script in new versions of IE and Firefox would ignore it altogether.

I have no idea what that is, but if it means that you woudl pre-program an image to only show up on specific sites and if it shows up elsehwere a chemical combustion occurs and burns the page to the ground, I'll second. |

We should have a "Hall of Shame" on the site and place all the info we can find about these thieves on it.

Since this is an ongoing issue can DPC add a data file on who views your photo's? It may slow down the stealing.
It would be cool if when you upload a file it receives an encription that trashes it on downloading.
I have a few photo's which have been posted for months and they are still being viewed. I have not added any keywords, so I been wondering how they been found? |

I like the idea of a log we could view, but those get big quickly and the only relevant info you'd get from it would be an IP address, which may or may not be helpful.
As far as trashing a file on download... won't work. Whenever an image is on your screen in the browser, it is ON the viewer's harddrive..in the browswer cache.
