I need to uninstall it and reinstall it. If I uninstall it are all the pictures I've edited in there going to be deleted? I know I can backup to disk, but wanted to know if I need to before I do it.

No they wont be deleted, they are not stored in the program, they are stored in a folder on your computer..... always a good idea to back up your photos though.

Thanks for the quick reply.

SO it's not like if I uninstalled my Oly master program then.

I'm backing up my proofs for the kid I'm shooting this afternoon- from his first session, and everything else I have backed up.

For some reason PS is running REALLY slow, and I went to do a system recovery on my computer- everythings been running really slow, and an error message popped up telling me to uninstall any recently downloaded programs. That's the only thing I've downloaded in months and I have more than enough memory on the computer so I'm assuming I've picked up a bug somewhere.

ANyhow thanks!

have you run your anti-virus program?
It doesnt really sound like its an issure with your program, but rather with your computer.... virus or a worm.... spyware, malware.... could be lots of things

off to work... good luck!

System restore to the before you install the last program. Good to try ad-aware, and or spybot to get rid of virus, worms, spyware, malware, etc.

I've got Norton and Spysweep, both current and updated. Ran scans last night and nothing showed up. So I think it goes deeper than that. I fear we may be taking this thing into the shop this weekend.

Everything else is working fine, just running a little slow so I know something is on it somewhere. I'm going to backup everything and do a full recovery tonight and see if that helps before paying someone to look at it.

How do you do a system restore? I'm guessing that's different then a recovery?

Be careful not to do a system restore before you find out what is wrong... if the problem is some sort of malware... doing a system restore may not help and can make things worse... some of those programs can get around the system restore... We had malware on a machine at work... someone did a system restore.... we ended up having to reformat the hard drive.... :-(

Too late lol, hubby did a standard restore while I was off doing a portrait session last night. I think we're just going to take it in next week and if cleaned out.

I'm still trying to figure out how whatever got on here did because I haven't downloaded anything from online- maybe hubby has even though he said he didn't. He knows nothing about computers lol.

Adobe is working now, I can edit, I just can't create a slide show which is what I was wanting to do. And I was able to create a slideshow 2 weeks ago on it so I know it's not the disk.
