Mick, that's a good heads-up... I had actually forgotten about that one. It defintiely works like that, and I do agree with Michael, it would be better if it did not revert on auto-power-down. It has not, however, affected any of my shooting to date.

Yes, the camera controls shouldn't change during an auto-power down. That's probably a bad thing. However, I don't necessarily agree with the part where he says, "Obviously this is a one line code change (or at least very minor)..." I know from past experience that those ‘simple one line code changes’ can easily end up being major cans of wormsâ€Â¦ or bugs. :D

Interesting. I've never used the custom setting - and now I think I won't. I have my camera set to idle in just 1 minute. It works well for me, the camera "springs to life" almost instantly. But with only a one minute timeout, I'd be losing "current settings" all the time.

Hmmm - I don't use custom settings so it won't particularly affect me. But thanks for the heads up.
