Hello All:
I am fairly new to digital photography but last month I enetered a photo contest at PicPrizes.
Well I was surprised that I actually won! They paid me $25 for a photo of a fire engine that I had taken.
Has anyone else won from this photo contest site or any others?
Enjoy being part of the forum.

| Yes... I think the site is fairly new... I just joined a month ago. Good news is that they paid the prizes out. I won $25 last month. I got an email from them telling me they were in beta but are now launched. |

Looks like a well done website. I didn't register so I couldn't find out anything susbstantial, and I coundn't find a way to view the pictures any larger than thumbnails. I'd really like to be able to find out more about it before I register.

hmm looks a bit strange to me, you get points and prizes for entering and viewing/commenting. so most of the comments seem to be multiple comments from the same people saying "good shot" - maybe this will change when more people join. But i know that here at DPC for instance, most comments are useful because the only reward to commenting is the warm fuzzy feeling it gives us!!

I noticed that to about their comments. Although they have been growing quite a bit lately and they have been adding a lot of "smarter" photographers who talk about real techniques. I am a noob so everyone seems smart to me when it comes to photography! :)
