Incredibly, my score has gone up since the beginning:
otes: 25
Views: 48
Avg Vote: 6.4400
Comments: 2

I think I may be developing the sense that B&W works for me, based on my current 2 high scores and this one.

But the rest of day 1 and day 2 usually see things fall. Lines fell a full point over that period before recovering a little at the end.

Word of advice. turn off your scores now and only look at them in the morning and at night. That's it. Can you do that?

I've already updated 50 times and will probably be up all night and all tommorrow(since watching two kids doesnt lend itself to naps). does that answer your question?? lol. if not then. NO I CANT DO THAT! ARE YOU CRAZY?? he he

I just went through my 30 some pictures that I took for this...beginning to think I should have grabbed one with a different view to it

Just got a five. its so funny. I usually love 5's. now i'm like. "darn a friggen 5" lol

7.2609 now. I gotta stop looking and go get some sleep
and I thought this might be in the 4's. I thought my zen shot could ribbon. guess that means its a 4. we'll see.

Boy - Did people not get this challenge!!!

I have just had a quick look through the entries and found at least one which was blatently either shot in B&W or Desaturated! Do people not actually read the description/rules?!?!?

I really wanted to enter this one but did not have time to set up my idea this week due to fitting a new bathroom! DOH!

I am officially rubbish
Yesterday I was quite pleased with my photo, and today I hate it :(

Now that's a bit harsh you only found "ONE" entry that you didn't think was right....... what about the other 264 !!!

No - I found One (during my brief look through) that blatently broke the rules. There dozens of images which, IMO, have completely misunderstood the (very simple) challenge description and have shot something B&W, surrounded by color!?!?!

The challenge has some really great entries but i will agree that quite a few seem to be voilating the challenge specification......

I am with keegbow...this was really surprising how many shots were blatantly outside of the rules...perhaps this challenge will have record dq's???

It's all a matter of interpretation. In your original post you stated
"least one which blatently either shot in B&W or Desaturated"
but maybe it was done completly legally by a very clever photographer.

You know you should ask for validation if you feel that an image is blatently against the rules and in this challenge there are extra rules as per the description.

I'm sure this image will get the validation button pressed many times until the "This image has been validated" line appears, unless it is DQ'd of course...

Anyway, I don't want to be seen to be picking on one particular image - There are possibly more that are rule breakers. I was looking forward to seeing these images, though was dissapointed when I looked through the submissions to see all those images which actually have colour in them!

you need to go read the description. we already had this discussion and nowhere does it say that you cant have color in your photo. it says that your subject or subjects must be Black and White. Before you go given out low scores for not meeting the challenge you need to READ.
