On another forum there has been a few people who are finding new CCD problems other then what canon has been fixing. Least we have come to the conclusion it is the CCD.

There are ripples or streaks in a few of the other members cameras when shooting the sky. Maybe yours has a problem like this but you just havnt noticed it yet?

Here are some pictures the other people have posted on the other site. These are from an S2, but it started with a guy who has an A620

Mine dont seem to have it.

This guy almost has his full image messed up

You sure it's not just a dirty sensor? (like someone cleaned it with some kind of liquid maybe?)

looks an awful lot like dried moisture to me. Perhaps condensation is forming between the high pass filter and the sensor, then drying up.

I'm thinking that is is probably moisture, too.

That camera is a fixed lens camera no way to clean sensor unless you take the whole camera apart. So i doubt that this is the problem, maby the adhesive the use to put the sensor/filter assemble together is not as transparent as they tought.

Yeah these are not taken on SLR cameras. It still doesnt mean it isnt moisture. I wondered if it wasnt the glue that they say comes apart on the cameras they say have the CCD problem. Maybe this is the first stage of the problem?
