I recently bought Dreamweaver 8 so that I could design my own website. I was wondering if anybody knew of some good, free tutorials I could find online. Thanks!

I'm in the process of learning MX right now. Kind of sink or swim. I have the book "The Forgotten Manual." Helps, but front pag is much easier! |

i teach dreamweaver and i've found that the best resources for getting started are on the macroadobe website:
//www.adobe.com/devnet/studio/getting_started.html
there are also a number of tutorials built into the program that are actually quite good and will get you going. |

"webdesign" is a huge area of skills from design, layout, coding, etc--with coding being further broken up into various categories.
its basically as deep and as complex as you want to get, or you can skim the surface. Don't be afraid to start basic, and as muckpond pointed out, the built in help and tutorials are great.

If you are trying to learn Dreamweaver, a good place would be the Help files, or the LiveDocs
You do need to spend a good bit of time if you want to understand the concepts and desing something you are happy with. But the information is there with tutorials. |
