I was told that you can open RAW files in CS, but i can't seem to do it, which makes me think that you can't...so what's the deal? Do i need to purchase a "plug in" to do this? I am a newbie to CS so I'm slowly finding my way thru this PhotoShop maze! Thanks in advance!!!

The RAW file should open in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) where you can do some basic edits. After that if you click the Open button you can finish editing in Photoshop. You can visit the Adobe website to get the ACR plug-in.
Go here for Adobe updates

So ARC is something i have to download seperately? Is there a way to upgrade to CS2??? I hear that this is much better when editing RAW pictures. |

ACR should have been installed when you installed CS but you can download the latest version for CS at the Adobe website. I don't know if it covers your camera or not. CS2 uses a later version of ACR that supports more cameras. The latest version of ACR however only works with CS2. You can purchase an upgrade from CS to CS2 from Adobe. |
