I posted on here awhile back about getting a free plasma tv in the mail from an incentive program that I completed, and since then I've completed a couple more online free gift web sites to get free stuff. I started to get curious about how these websites were able to give me stuff for free and still make a profit, so I started researching it. Sparing you the boring long story, here it is a few weeks later and I own a free gift website I set up. But to get to the point, my banner sucks. I feel kinda sleezy just posting on here asking for help with it, but I don't know who else to ask, and I've seen some brilliant work here. Any advice you could give me on color schemes or fonts, or even if someone was really generous and could make one for me or give me something to start with, I'd greatly appreciate it. The website is:
Free Rewards 4 You
The banner currently on there is just something I threw up at midnight last night. Don't bother registering or signing up for the website because it's not ready yet. I am waiting to hear back from two affiliate companies I applied with who are going to supply me with sponsors and offers for the website. Thanks!!

Thanks for letting me know about the typo. I took care of it. Since there aren't any suggestions off the bat I think the best thing for me to do is to create maybe 3 or 4 banners and then ask for opinions on which one is best. Kinda lazy for me to sit back and watch other people work on my site.

I will trade you a free plasma tv for a free banner.

Or, if it's all just a pyramid scheme or something that's not as easy as you made it sound, I'd be happy to make you a banner. I'd just need some information, first.

Do you have to abide by set rules by whatever this company is? Do you have a colour scheme in mind already? What kind of image are you trying to portray?

Would you rather it be like an ad, or just a logo type? Do you want to have the banner with several variations with the "free things" right on the banner? That way you could change the banner up every once in a while with new stuff on it relevant to your site.

Let me know all these things and I can get started. I can either do something quick, or if you want something really professional it might take me a month or so as I'd be doing it the way I do for my paying customers. They usually get theirs in 1-2 weeks, I'd be doing yours in my spare time.

Oh, any particular size you would want? File format?

It's harder to get a free plasma or free anything than you'd think. They are, in fact, free. But it takes about 1-3 months to actually get it in the mail. The concept is pretty simple. For short, it works like this:
A major company like blockbuster, aol, ebay, and many others go to companies to get incentivized advertising. One such company is called YFDirect. This company YFDirect collects money from aol, ebay, etc in exchange for getting people to sign up for their services. For example, AOL will tell YFDirect they will give them $40 for every person they get to sign up for a free 30 day trial. AOL loses if the person cancels the service, but wins if the person stays on a month or two. These companies such as YFDirect hire people like me and other people that have free gift web sites. We post the requirements for completing the offers at AOL, ebay, etc and we reward the customer with a prize. So the average joe off the street can go to a free gift website, complete a bunch of these free trials, and for every person that completes AOL at my website, I get X amount of dollars. In return, YFDirect gets even more. The average joe gets a gift.

But back to the banner, I don't have any set rules to go by. It's my website, and I'm the only person involved with it. I don't have any color scheme at all in mind. I'm trying to portray that it's free and easy.

If you would like one to go by, I like the looks of another website that is very similiar to mine. And when I say very similiar, I mean we are the same type of website and using the exact same template, neither of which has been edited very much. Their site is working, and they are making a mint on it. I hope to one day become 1/10th as profitable as they are. Any ideas I could get from their website are probably good ones, but I don't want to look exactly like them. Their website is: 123StuffForFree

And please, don't spend much time on mine. Here's an open directory of some image files I already have of some different colored ipods and stuff like that you may find helpful:

Thank you very much!

Thanks!

By the way, I put some digital photography related items up for grabs on my website. A rebel xt, flash, and a couple lenses. It is now 100% complete and ready for people to sign up. So far, I'd had about 20 sign up.

I'm glad you posted again, I could not find this thread for the life of me, and needed those images.

Now I can finish it all up. (and am bookmarking this thread so I don't lose it again!)

That's excellent! Thanks a million. Could you possibly send me the layered version via email, or do you still have it? It would make it easier down the road for me to edit if I ever get rid of old gifts and add new ones.

Side note: I had the first person go through the website from start to finish already. They got $100 paypal, and they live in Germany. Not sure how that converts over for them.
