Water has been out for two days here. The bathroom that my two boys share STINKS SO FRIGGEN BAD!!!

I went to my typhoon locker and pulled out some water (2 gallons), poured it in the tank, and flushed...but nothing really happened! It moved the water in the bowl a bit but nothing more. There goes $1 worth of water..LOL

So, how much water will I need to flush the toilet?

It works better if you pour the water in-mass into the bowl, instead of the tank. Probably about 2 gallons in one quick dump will move all the contents out of the toilet.

to my expiriance it is best tu use a bucket.. and pour it fast.....

slow litle stream from bottle is just not powerfull enough

Dump the water right into the bowl. Not the tank.

EDIT: Too Slow

That should have done it. Maybe clogged up by now. Grab the plunger and have more water on hand. After two days, wouldn't hurt to dump a bit of bleach in as well.

Ok....poured two gallons right into the bowl. It emptied the bowl about 75% of the stinky stuff...LOL I can live with that for now. Thanks!

Now I am the one that stinks. After covering that parade yesterday in 90 degree weather, and darn high humidity......I COULDN'T SHOWER!..LOL

Party at my house ;o)

Is the water out in the whole town? If not you could go to a local swimming pool - normally a $1 or 2 to get in and they would have showers.

I'll fly to Guam for a party..............once the water's back on :)

P.S. Can you dig a hole somewhere? You do what you gotta do in dire circumstances.

Yep.....the whole town! It has been a problem for a while, but has never effected the base, as they have their own water system. However, something happened because of all the rain we have had, and they have had to make repairs. HOPEFULLY it comes back on today. It's not a huge deal for me other than stinky toilets...LOL I've had an excuse not to do the dishes. But, when the water comes back on the dishes will take twice as long because the food is stuck on..LOL
