My first assignment with the Pacific Daily News, Guam's newspaper, is today! Today is Guam's big holiday....Liberation Day. I am shooting the parade. I am supposed to get a shot of each village's floats and then whatever else I find interesting.
Trying to decide what lens to strap on. I'm sure I will figure that out. The 70-200mm seems like it would be best for the great parade candids, but the 24-70 would be best for the floats. My husband has my 2nd camera body with him on the ship which is deployed!!! Of all days not to have two bodies...LOL

Oooh, good luck, Jennifer! I'm sure you'll do a great job as always, though. Can't you carry both lenses, with a camera or other type of bag? A lot of times if I want to bring two lenses somewhere, but not my big camera bag, I bring a giant purse or a decent beach bag. Have fun!! |

Oh I am bringing my camera bag....but I can only have one lens mounted at a time. It is advantageous (sp?...LOL) to have a full 24mm-200mm range at your fingertips. Carrying two bodies would allow me to do so.
As is, I have to choose between 24-70 or 70-200......Ill probably be switching back and forth quite a bit today.
