We seem to have a huge number of "new" members lately, which is really nice. I would love to have a continuious thread set up for "new" members.

Maybe then, I won't miss someone, or get confused and say welcome twice to the same person.

I could maybe start one, but I really think a more official welcome from DPC or site council, coming first, would be so much more appropiate. When I first started, I found it had to know where to go to say, I like to be a member etc.

It could also be earier format for them to approach us, with there welcome.

What do others think, and what would be the best way to go about it.

Some places even have an introductions forum.

I like the idea of an introductions thread. Some people have been here long enough to know a little about other members... but it would be nice if everyone could share just a little about themselves and each new member could in turn drop a few details onto the thread.

I would like a more permanent one, where it is alway there, to be added to and one can come back to etc. Not a thread as such, if you get my drift, more like a actual section in it own right.
