Don't stand so close to it. ;)

if you do that, you'd be turning the art of taking a leak very much into a circus act, LOL!

Depends on your genetics. :D

Another perfectly good thread topic deteriorated into who knows what. The bottoms of my shoes suddenly feel sticky.

Those giant floor troughs are definitely for Honyaks. But I admit they are great when you are inebriated cuz you don't have to worry about your aim.

Wait.... now yanko's designing urinal games? Wow! Where have I been? ;)

And hey... how comes us girls don't have fun potty games to play. I'm jealous *pout*

Yes. Urinal designer by day and crow eater by night. :P

Definitely sidewall. Less direct impact. it just slides along the contour. Quieter that way also.

Agreed.

I just tried that, it works except for the part where you're about to finish, then it's full splashback as there isn't enough pressure to hit the sidewall anymore - maybe that's the time to switch to dudephil's suggestion about not standing too close to it... I'll try that later. I'm going to get myself a drink for ammo.

OK, there were people in the urinals beside me - will try again later.
More drinks...

Seems like this would promote a dirty restroom not a clean one. Imagine all these guys with beer guts having to step back so they can see the target. When the pressure drops there is going to be a slippery floor.

i was at this bar up in Hurley Wisconsin a few years ago, they had signs above the urinals that read "please do not pee on the floor". when I looked down at the floor painted in bold white letters the words "please pee in urinal" with arrows pointing to it. thought to myself who needs to be reminded to not pee on the floor? afterwhich i went to wash my hands. while doing this another guy came in and stood by the urinal when I turned around to grab a towel I couldnt help notice he had peeed all over the floor and his shoes. I then figured out who the signs were probably for. Was a riot laughed for hours that night.

Which always makes me wonder how wise are these people telling us to walk a mile in another man's shoes.

I think a cone-shaped urinal bowl is the best - no spill, no splashback

what, like pitch underhand from across the room? i think we have to assume this hypothetical restroom is crowded and discretion is a must. oh and i totally agree with the earlier post about noise level. you want to sound like a fire hose, while minimizing exposure to mist. (HA, i mentioned "noise level" and "exposure" in a thread about urinals!)
