I was goofing with an image I shot today and PS got control of me and wouldn't let go. Not sure what to call this look, but I kinda like it. Reminds me of an old photo that would have been in someone's pocket for years or something.

Any thoughts? What's your initial reaction - refine it?, toss it?, keep as it?.

No, its not bad at all...

The yellow certainly gives it a sense of being aged. Not so sure about the green tones in some part of it though : /

Another thing to consider is her apperance and clothing. Her apperance (the first thing i noticed was the hair) just doesn't really convey a sense of being old.

So my vote is: do something about the green tones and it will be pretty good, reshoot with the model in a costume that looks like its from the early 1900s, then it will be very convincing. Hope this helps!

I did not think it was very grungy anyhow.

So I made it more soft and elegant.

I like your softer look, Cam. You are right that it isn't very grungy - but the original is so pollyanna... I was really going for a super girly shot with kinda ugly processing (if that makes sense) - conflict...
